The corporate affairs commission has announced plans to deploy an artificial intelligence agent to address a backlog of seven thousand company registration applications. Registrar-general Hussaini Ishaq Magaji explained at a stakeholders’ forum in kano that the new system will strengthen compliance, registry, and customer service operations, ensuring faster approvals and reducing service delays.
He noted that the transition to the artificial intelligence-driven portal has been challenging, as customers experienced delays due to overwhelming application volumes. According to him, the commission receives no fewer than three thousand emails daily, and the artificial intelligence tool is being designed to process and redirect messages within a minute for quicker resolution.
Magaji assured stakeholders that the commission is actively working to stabilize the portal and improve customer experience. He emphasized that problems have been identified, and corrective solutions are underway, with the artificial intelligence system expected to streamline registration, manage inquiries more efficiently, and significantly improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
