Nigeria and China are set to strengthen trade and economic cooperation through the 2025 edition of the China Commodities Expo-Nigeria, billed to hold in Lagos from Wednesday, November 5, to Friday, November 7, 2025. Organisers said on Tuesday that the annual event, hosted by the Trade Development Bureau of China’s Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with Brightway International Exhibition, has continued to receive strong backing from Chinese provinces, the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, and the Nigerian government at both federal and state levels.
The 2025 edition is expected to feature more than 250 Chinese manufacturers alongside over 5,000 Nigerian and international business representatives. Exhibitors will showcase products across manufacturing, technology, agriculture, consumer goods, and infrastructure. Stakeholders believe the Expo will provide fresh opportunities to balance trade, expand investment, and accelerate industrialisation in Nigeria.
Chief Representative Officer of Brightway International Exhibition, Muheez Ojulari, described the Expo as a vital platform for boosting bilateral cooperation. He noted that it offers Nigerian firms direct access to Chinese manufacturers who control key global supply chains, making it a game-changer for trade expansion and long-term economic partnerships.
