…another Super Eagles player joins the NPFL ( THIS CAN WORK TOO)
Brown Ideye has officially joined nine-time Nigerian champions Enyimba until the end of the 2024/25 season. This development was confirmed by the Sporting Director of Enyimba, Ifeanyi Ekwueme.
Ekwueme expressed enthusiasm about the recent signing, revealing, “Yes, the talks have been going on for a while and we completed it yesterday.” He emphasized that the experienced forward will significantly enhance the team’s attacking options as they compete intensively in both domestic and continental tournaments.

CAF ANNOUNCES SHORTLIST FOR AFRICA’S BEST FOOTBALLER
At 36 years of age, the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, has been without a club since departing Kuwaiti side Al Yarmouk in 2022.
His return to Nigeria’s top-flight football follows in the footsteps of former international teammates like Ahmed Musa and Abdullahi Shehu, both currently playing for Kano Pillars. Moreover, this marks a nostalgic return for Ideye to the domestic league, having left Ocean Boys back in 2006, 17 years prior.

His potential transfer to former league champions Rivers United last October was prevented, making this move to Enyimba all the more meaningful.
Enyimba is currently gearing up for two crucial matches in the coming days. They are set to face Sunshine Stars in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League encounter on Wednesday, followed by an important away fixture against Black Bulls in Maputo, Mozambique, for their third group game in the CAF Confederation Cup.
