Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has demanded full concentration from his players as they resumed training in Uyo behind closed doors. Following their 2-0 victory over Rwanda, the team arrived in Uyo via a chartered flight and held their first session on Sunday.
The coach restricted access to journalists, emphasizing focus ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
Chelle, undistracted by the Rwanda win, stressed the need for improvement. Training sessions will remain mostly private, with limited media access.

The team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed that a 15-minute open session will follow Monday’s press conference, while match-day interactions will be in a designated mixed zone.

Their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup remain alive, but another victory is crucial. Zimbabwe also trained at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Sunday as they prepare to face Nigeria, while South Africa battles Benin Republic in Abidjan.
