According to Chinese media outlet Yuyuan Tantian, which is affiliated with state broadcaster CCTV, US officials are “proactively” reaching out through multiple diplomatic channels to negotiate a resolution. The report, citing unnamed sources, suggested the US is showing greater urgency amid economic and political pressures.
